If you relish the opportunity of developing well-crafted commercial proposals for our customers and are ready to manage the contractual negotiations, then you should consider this role further.ResponsibilitiesThe Sales Manager will report to the Head of Sales of MED East, but considering the team's growth and size, reporting might change in the future to Sales Director.Responsibilities will includeDeveloping sales approaches and designing plans for additional sales goals and targets, thereby contributing towards the long-term growth of the organisation, possessing product knowledge with the ability to effectively market the product to customers, negotiate terms and close dealsScreen and evaluate sales opportunitiesManage the entire sales cycle: from identifying potential customers, quoting and optimizing deals to negotiating and concluding contracts for the delivery of wind energy projectsEnsure effective interdisciplinary collaboration in a matrix organization. Coordinate and specify technical, financial, pricing, legal, construction and service solutions for the customers, in close cooperation with other Vestas departmentsEstablish, develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders (existing and potential customers, authorities, utilities)Monitor market developmentProvide a day-to-day interaction between Vestas and the targeted customersSetting sales and commercial goals and providing input to the internal stakeholders involved in sellingGenerating new opportunities and leads based on customer, competitor or market understandingFormulating a sales management strategy to fulfill those goalsFace the customers jointly with the deal team throughout the entire sales processManage the commercial TSA negotiationsReviewing tender materialDevelop bid, negotiation and commercial strategiesEnsuring structure within the bid and negotiation phaseReporting progress to the management teamFirst point of contact for commercial issues and responsible for internal escalationManaging the customer relationship and facing the customers together with the Service team, the Senior Technical Sales Manager throughout the sales processAlign commercial requirements and risk assessment with the Service team and other internal stakeholdersLead a cross-functional team from different departments working on a projectCompliance with internal processes and guidelinesInvolved in planning and focusing on increasing sales volume, contributing to company profits and long term growth of the organizationBe responsible for people managementQualificationsWe are looking for a person with the following qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration, coupled with at least 5 years of professional and project management experience within the wind energy, EPCI oil and gas, power plants, infrastructure, or the construction industry. A master's degree would be preferredExperience with being involved on the commercial side in negotiations of large complex projects and is able to articulate the consequences from a commercial and contractual point of viewHigh understanding of the commercial aspects of complex products and the ability to translate this knowledge into a contractual contextExperience with long-term sales processes and delivering results in a complex organization selling large-scale projectsProficiency in Business English, another Southern European or Russian languageCompetenciesThe ideal candidate fulfils as many of the below requirements as possible:Solid stakeholder management skills, the Sales Manager must effectively seek contact with all relevant partners and business relationsWork collaboratively and lead a cross-functional team toward a common goalShow leadership i.e. influence others to accomplish a goalGive, receive and understand information clearly and concisely.
