About the Role

As an
Expansion Manager
, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our convenience store chain by identifying, evaluating, and securing new locations. You will play a crucial role in our strategic development, from market analysis and site selection to lease negotiation and team leading. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic thinker with a proven track record in retail real estate, expansion and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis and Site Identification:
    Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities for expansion. Use data to evaluate potential locations based on demographics, competition, and traffic flow.
  • Site Evaluation and Selection:
    Assess potential sites, preparing detailed reports and financial models to support your recommendations. Present compelling business cases to senior management.
  • Lease Negotiation:
    Lead all aspects of lease negotiations for new stores, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Team Leadership
    : Lead and mentor a team of expansion partners. You'll be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, developing the team's members and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate brokers, landlords, and city officials to create a pipeline of future opportunities.
  • Strategy Development:
    Contribute to the long-term expansion strategy, providing insights and recommendations based on market trends and performance data.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail or convenience store sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Strong understanding of retail real estate, market analysis, and site selection.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in both Romanian and English, enabling fluent verbal and written communication.
