SALES MANAGER
.
SCOPE OF THE ROLE
Effectively and efficiently manage the sales activities as well as the human resources under his/her responsibility, in alignment with Company and Group values, objectives and policies, by implementing the plans and strategies entrusted to him/her by the General Manager and Headquarters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure proper planning and execution of sales activities within the territory, in terms of turnover, customer base, national distribution coverage of the company's product portfolio and market shares.
- Contribute to defining the goals and action plans for the sales representatives and all customer clusters, such us independent pharmacies, pharmacy chains (either operating offline and online), and wholesalers.
- Achieve the economic objectives (sales revenue and margins) and financial targets (credit – percentage of outstanding receivables) set by the Company, in accordance with its commercial policy and qualitative and quantitative standards.
- Constantly monitor sales results, analyze deviations from assigned sales and profitability objectives, proposing the implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify and exploit new business opportunities.
- Know the market and analyze its trends, evaluate and benchmark competitor products, analyze the general economic situation, and make relevant recommendations.
- Define and implement, in collaboration with other department involved, the periodic offers (canvass) and the conditions of sale which are anyhow approved by the General Manager.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key strategic partners.
- Cooperate with all other corporate functions, both at the Country level and Headquarters and actively participate in institutional meetings that will be held at the headquarters and/or on the national and international territory, both with colleagues and customers.
- Continuously report his or her activities to the General Manager.
- Provide and monitor sales forecast, implementing corrective actions when necessary, and ensure appropriate stock levels in terms of quantity and quality.
- Ensure compliance with the contractual conditions established with logistic partner and suggest potential improvements.
- Manage team activities to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency, through regular team meetings and individual performance reviews.
- Assist the Area Manager in selecting and training new sales representatives.
- Promote business development with strategic customers/key accounts.
- Support the development, motivation and growth of the team.
- Manage and implement the remuneration policy, including the variable part of the incentives, of the sales network according to the parameters defined with General Manager and Headquarters.
- Guarantee the activities of the Function, also proposing initiatives aimed at rationalizing commercial and business intelligence services as well as optimizing operating procedures according to the guidelines provided by the Headquarters.
REQUIREMENTS
:
- Degree in Economics or a related scientific field
- Proven and structured experience of at least 5 years in sales area and strategy
- Solid experience in people management
- Relevant national language required; Working proficiency in English
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
