As an IT Application Specialist, you'll be the backbone of our engineering IT environment - ensuring that our CAD, PDM, and FEM systems run smoothly and efficiently. You'll work closely with design and simulation teams, supporting everything from 3D modeling platforms to high-powered computing systems.

Tasks:

  • Ensure the stable and efficient operation of IT business applications in the CAD, PDM, and FEM environment;
  • Administer and support 3D CAD systems (hardware and software), collaborating with internal engineering teams;
  • Manage and maintain server-side PDM solutions (CIM Database) and data exchange platforms (OpenDXM-GlobalX);
  • Oversee and improve virtualized workstations and environments;
  • Install, configure, and maintain SUSE Enterprise Linux systems;
  • Support and manage FEM simulation software like Abaqus, Hyperworks, and Ansys CFD.

Requirements:

  • Degree or vocational training in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field;
  • Proven experience administering 3D CAD systems (preferably Creo, NX, Catia, Inventor) and PDM platforms (CIM Database);
  • Strong knowledge of SUSE Enterprise Linux and FEM simulation environments (Abaqus, Hyperworks, Ansys CFD);
  • Solid experience with server/workstation hardware and VMware Horizon or similar virtualization tools
  • Programming experience in Python is a plus
  • Good English skills, both written and spoken;
  • A hands-on, solution-driven mindset with strong communication and team collaboration skills
