Industrial Engineer – Greenfield Project

About the Role
As an
Industrial Engineer
, you will play a key role in the industrialization of products transferred from Diehl Aviation's sites in Germany and Hungary.
You will be responsible for optimizing production processes, implementing new technologies, and supporting the setup of efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations for this greenfield start-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the industrialization of products within project scope (time, cost, quality).
- Introduce and standardize new production technologies, machines, and equipment.
- Design and plan production process flows and shop floor layouts using layout planning tools (visTable or related software, 3D CAD).
- Lead and monitor project phases for new product introductions.
- Ensure continuous optimization of production processes and resources.
- Apply Lean manufacturing and problem-solving methods to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Perform capacity and cycle time analysis and ensure production costs reflect operational realities in SAP.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure the seamless integration of industrial processes.
- Participate in corporate technology networks to share knowledge and align local standards with global best practices.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering.
- Willingness to relocate/travel to HUN/GER for initial training (90 days).
- 3–5 years of professional experience, ideally in the aviation or manufacturing industry
- Proven experience in APQP and PPAP (other quality tools such as SPC, MSA, FMEA – nice to have).
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written – 100% proficiency).
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of project management phases, industrialization processes, and production standardization.
- Hands-on experience in layout planning tools (visTable or related) and 3D CAD environments.
- Ability to analyse capacity, cycle times, and production efficiency.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Lean tools and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Previous involvement in greenfield or startup industrial projects.
- Familiarity with European aviation standards or lightweight production technologies.
- Basic knowledge of German or Hungarian languages is an advantage.
