Contracts and payments assistant

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Contracts Payments Assistant to join our team in our office. As a Contracts Payments Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the payments team with various tasks related to contract payments. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be highly organized, and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the payments team with processing and tracking contract payments
- Review contracts and payment schedules to ensure accuracy
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payment status and inquiries
- Maintain accurate payment records in Excel and other databases
- Monitor payment deadlines and proactively follow up on pending payments
- Handle email correspondence related to payment inquiries and issues
- Provide general administrative support to the payments team
Requirements:
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
- Smart and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- No prior experience necessary, although a background in accounting or finance would be beneficial. On the job training will be available.
This is a full-time position in our office, with 8-hour workdays and a lunch break. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be comfortable with a variety of administrative tasks related to payments processing.
