Marketing Strategist

who gets it… the big picture, the little details, and how to connect them without losing the plot.

Who You Are

You think in funnels, talk in KPIs, and dream in campaign calendars. You can pitch an idea, back it with data, and make it sing with story. You're equal parts creative and analytical — and allergic to generic.

You're not just here to build pretty decks. You're here to build momentum. You're a thinker who can drive direction, a communicator who can rally a team, and a strategist who understands that good marketing starts with clarity and ends with results.

What You'll Do 

You'll shape the strategic backbone of our marketing work — from client kickoffs to campaign launches. Your job isn't just to map where we're going, but to help us get there smarter and faster.

You will:

  • Translate client goals into strategic plans that actually make sense (and work).
  • Develop campaign ideas, content themes, messaging frameworks, and multi-channel roadmaps.
  • Define positioning and value props that sound like humans, not AI-generated gibberish.
  • Analyze what's working, and what's not, using tools, platforms, and good old-fashioned logic.
  • Collaborate with creatives, content leads, PMs, and clients to ensure execution matches intent.
  • Lead strategy workshops, build briefs, and present with clarity and confidence.
  • Keep a pulse on audience trends, industry shifts, and what makes people actually care.

What You Bring 

  • 3–5+ years of experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, or a hybrid role across content, digital, or campaign strategy.
  • Proven ability to lead marketing efforts across digital campaigns, product launches, and content programs.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms (web, social, email, search), marketing funnels, and customer journeys.
  • Experience turning business objectives into clear marketing plans, not just flashy slide decks.
  • The ability to write, think, and present with clarity; you make things simple, not shallow.
  • Familiarity with tools like GA4, Semrush, Notion, Airtable, Miro, Figma, HubSpot (or similar).
  • Experience developing messaging hierarchies, brand stories, and content pillars.
  • A strong POV and the ability to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and add strategic value.
  • Confidence in collaborating cross-functionally; you're the glue between client goals and creative execution.
  • A balance of creative intuition and analytical thinking; you know when to test and when to trust.
  • Experience juggling multiple projects with the ability to set priorities and keep moving without chaos.
  • Strong client-facing skills:  you can lead conversations, make the complex clear, and earn trust quickly.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience in B2B, tech, agency, PSP (Professional Services Provider), or high-ticket B2B sectors.
  • Know how to make complex or "unsexy" offerings interesting, valuable, and differentiating.
  • Can take ambiguous feedback and turn it into clear, strategic direction (no psychic powers required).
  • Have worked in lean teams or fast-paced environments where strategy and execution happen in tandem.
  • Can balance messaging across multiple audiences including buyers, users, champions, stakeholders.
  • Are just as comfortable with dashboards and spreadsheets as you are with Figma files or sticky notes.
  • Have a POV on what makes great marketing work and are open to evolving it.
  • Stay up to date with marketing trends but know how to tell hype from real opportunity.
  • Can spot jargon a mile away and rewrite it so it actually connects.
  • Have experience leading workshops, client discovery sessions, or alignment meetings.
