Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Presales Consultant to join our team in Bucharest. This is a full-time, on-site role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and designing technical solutions that align with CODATA's portfolio and vision.

The Senior Presales Consultant will support the sales team throughout the presales process, from opportunity qualification to proposal delivery and contract closure. This includes analyzing requirements, creating technical architectures, preparing solution documentation, delivering demos, and actively contributing to bid and tender processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical advisor during presales engagements.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate client business and technical requirements.
  • Design solutions across infrastructure, networking, communications, applications and virtualization.
  • Prepare technical proposals, architectures, diagrams and BOMs.
  • Deliver workshops, presentations, and product demonstrations to clients.
  • Collaborate with sales, delivery, and partner teams to ensure end-to-end solution design.
  • Support responses to RFPs/RFQs, ensuring compliance with requirements and standards.
  • Stay current with market trends, emerging technologies, and vendor offerings.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior presales staff.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in presales, solution architecture, or systems engineering.
  • Strong technical expertise in:
  • Infrastructure HW/SW
     (servers, storage, virtualization, OS platforms)
  • Networking & Communications
     (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, VoIP, SD-WAN)
  • Enterprise Applications
     (COTS, custom, middleware, integrations)
  • Virtualization & Cloud
     (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS)
  • Security & Compliance
     (ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR)
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and bid processes.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications (Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, AWS, TOGAF, ITIL) are an advantage.
