Job Description:

How you will make your mark:

Opportunity Consultants, working with the presales/pursuit teams, help position opportunities to customers. Their responsibilities are around the deal shaping, financial strategy, financial evaluation and finance risk assessment, pricing and terms negotiation.

Opportunity Consultants are expected to maintain independence in all financial matters related to the engagements and ensure that approvers have a full and open view of the relevant facts and assumptions underlying the engagements financial plan. Portfolios covered are Greenlake and Services.
 

Customers

• Presales / sales /account team
• Business and Finance approvers Geo and WW

Responsibilities

• Understand the customer needs and align to HPE sales strategy
• Influence the deal shaping to ensure a compelling offer to the customer while minimizing risk for HPE and achieving the strongest possible margin
• Assist in negotiation of terms with the customer
• Provide insight in term of pricing
• Ensure compliance with regulation and HPE rules (working with GRRO and compliance teams)
• Document the financial assumptions for management reviews and Approval process
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within the direct team and the extended financial analyst community

The team

• The EMEA OC team is a group of SMEs constantly interacting to share knowledge, expertise, best practices and brainstorm new cases.
• High team spirit, back-up in place during time-off
• Workload fairly spread across the month.

About You

• 6+ years in finance, pricing, revenue recognition experience
• Affinity for numbers & strong financial modeling skills required
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand pricing implications
• Creativity
• Executive communication and influencing skills across internal and external organizations
• Business and customer-oriented
• Team player with ability to form alliances across boundaries.
• A good understanding of IT finance and cost drivers
