Job Summary

The Internal Accountant will manage financial transactions, ensure compliance with local accounting standards and support financial decision-making within the company. This role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid – Mostly On-Site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Collaboration Type: Individual Labor Contract/B2B

Duration: 6 months + prolongation available

Salary: ron net

Candidates based in Bucharest only will be taken into consideration.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records ensuring all accounting transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Process invoices payments and payroll in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct reconciliations for bank statements accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in budget planning.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax returns.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Support management team with financial insights and recommendations.
  • Improve and implement internal financial controls and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fluency in Romanian and proficiency in English.
