Medical Information Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and multilingual Medical Information Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing accurate and professional medical information services to clients.

About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical information services via phone and email. This will involve answering technical questions, translating English documents into the target language, and delivering these translated responses in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong translation abilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
• Answering technical questions received by phone, letter, or email in respect of designated products
• Translating English documents into the target language or vice versa
• Delivering translated responses either on the phone or in writing
• Using existing standard responses to prepare medical information correspondence (via client databases) or taking responsibility for liaising with the Medical Information Support Services (MISS) department to request the generation of medical information correspondence
• Logging all enquiries in an accurate, comprehensive, and timely fashion
• Managing confidential information in line with Data Privacy regulations
• Maintaining awareness of, and ensuring compliance with, the legal requirements and professional guidelines associated with the provision of medical information on behalf of the Pharmaceutical Industry
• Performing quality checks on Adverse Events, Product Quality Complaints, correspondence to ensure accuracy in all areas of the job

Requirements
• Completed Pharmacy or life science degree
• Mother tongue/C1 level in target language and fluency in English
• Strong translation skills
• Excellent phone manner
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritize tasks
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work unsupervised
