Software Governance Specialist

SDLC Controls Engineer

This role is part of our team responsible for enabling the enterprise governance of the development process within our organization. As a Control & Automation Engineer, you will support the transformation of our SDLC procedures and tooling to modernize our software development practice, reduce risk, and improve efficiency by implementing automated governance platforms and guiding users into adoption.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide guidance and support to project, application, and service owners in relation to control requirements and compliance evidence.
2. Track and record progress of application remediation activities.
3. Liaise with Service Owners, Procurement & Legal teams to track and record progress of vendor compliance leveraging authoritative sources and tooling for this purpose.
4. Ensure up-to-date, complete, and correct information is evidenced.
5. Understand and ensure full compliance to our policy and standards, define SDLC and Agile practices, and influence other individuals in and outside the team.

Requirements:
- Prior experience in procurement or vendor management
- Prior exposure with software suppliers and contract law (desirable)
- Understanding of risk management
- Strong analytical skills, including attention to detail
- Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, including liaising and influencing strategic decision makers such as program sponsors, key business users, and vendors.
- Exceptional written and oral English skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and with executive levels.
- Experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles, and methodologies
- Familiarity with IDE's and automation concepts.
