The
Sales Analysts (Power BI)
function
is responsible for supporting the
First Brands Group
sales organization with Power BI dashboard creations, analytics, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to support business development and growth through data-driven decision. Our sales operations analysts are curious self-starters with a willingness to explore and motivation to find growth opportunities through data. This role allows for the ability to learn the dynamics of the automotive parts industry and interacts with sales, customer service, product groups and finance. This position reports into the Sales Operations organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards to support strategic and operational sales insights for key stakeholders
- Develop and optimize data models and Power Query transformations to ensure efficient data flow and accurate reporting in Power BI
- Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard/reporting issues, ensuring timely and accurate data availability
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Customer Service on reporting solutions that will help drive business decisions
- Manage scheduled and ad-hoc sales reporting, ensuring accuracy and relevance for recurring business reviews
- Analyse sales trends and performance metrics, identifying insights, and provide data-driven recommendations to influence business decisions
- Clean, transform & prepare sales data from multiple sources (e.g, CRM, Vizion, internal dashboards, excel files)
- Support Sales team by developing input templates and preparing business/customer presentations
- Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reporting and performance tracking
- Assist with clean-up of sales dollars that are not aligned with the proper market channel to ensure quality is sales reporting data that build trust in the data with the sales organization
- Translate complex data into clear, tailored reports for executives, customers, and sales teams
- Combine data from multiple data sources to build a story and design selling strategy
- Support cross-functional initiatives, such as forecasting, commission tracking, and dashboard rollout planning
- Special projects and ad hoc requests, as needed
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of Education and Experience:
- 2+ years in developing and enhancing Power BI dashboards
- 4+ years sales support/operations or related analytics experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, data science, computer science or related field
- Experience with sales structure, sales processes, customer master data, and order to cash processes
- Experience with translating data into business insights, preparing executive-level reports and presentations
- Experienced with ERP and CRM systems, Oracle preferred
- Strong research skills to locate, extract, organize and evaluate swathes of data
Skills:
Technical
- Power BI – dashboard creation, data modelling, Power Query transformations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, graphing, nested formulas, with experience managing large data sets
- CRM – familiarity with tools like Oracle, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
- Experience creating sales presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Data entry experience with a high degree of accuracy
- Deductive reasoning / logic skills
- Basic project management skills
