As the Energy Management Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the commercial and operational market strategy for our solar PV and hybrid (PV + BESS) asset portfolio in Romania. Reporting directly to the Head of Energy Management, you will be responsible for designing and structuring market hedging strategies tailored to these assets, ensuring alignment with portfolio risk and revenue objectives. Your day-to-day work will include coordinating and executing activities on both the Day-Ahead Market (PZU) and the Intra-Day Market (PIZ), while also managing contracts with BRPs and route-to-market providers.

In this role, you'll actively build and maintain strong relationships with critical stakeholders such as BRPs, route-to-market providers, regulators, and transmission system operators. You will also be expected to lead the design and continuous improvement of internal procedures related to market participation and compliance, as well as monitor guarantees and identify opportunities for process optimisation. Furthermore, you will oversee physical notifications and scheduling to ensure efficient energy dispatch and full compliance with market regulations. Your work will directly support the optimisation of asset value in Romania's dynamic energy market, aligning local execution with broader corporate goals.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Energy, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the Romanian electricity market and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Strong existing network with market operators, BRPs, TSOs, and major offtakers in Romania
  • Analytical skills and experience working with market data
  • Fluent in Romanian and English
  • Prior experience in an energy trading or market operations role
