We are now looking for a Accounting Specialist to join our team onsite in Cluj-Napoca.

As Finance Accounting Specialist you will learn how to deliver first class accounting services to our internal clients, and you will work in a dynamic team with high focus on personal development with challenging, varied tasks and responsibility from the outset. You will work with the other departments from Finance and Operations to insure a smooth close for the month end, prepare and submit specific reports for the entities that are In the portfolio.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Prepares and reviews accounting entries and proposes improvement solutions; ensures compliance with Accounting Law when operating accounting entries
  • Performs ICO reconciliation between suppliers and customers
  • Prepares specific month-end reports and participates in the specific month-end closing activities
  • Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepares reports related to the projects and sending them to the persons responsible in the Operations department to confirm the projects that can be closed
  • Is responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns, Intrastat, ESL and other reports to state institutions
  • Is involved in audit activities
  • Provides support to team colleagues when needed, consults with them to standardize working methods, teaches new colleagues about processes and working methods
  • Participates in the creation of various accounting procedures in order to improve the processes
  • Performs support activities agreed with the direct manager in case of team members absence
  • Flexible schedule agreed according to the needs of the clients served
  • Responsible with reporting any system issues and follow up a resolution with IT department
  • Performs any other tasks given by the direct manager, in relation to the responsibilities of the position or compliance with the law

What will make you successful?

  • Graduate of Economic Studies
  • 3 years of experience in Accounting
  • Experience working with ERP management systems
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and analytical capability
  • Very good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Team spirit
  • Ability to work in a structured environment
  • Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
  • Experience in a company with international cultural exposure
  • Very good knowledge of English; knowledge of another European language is a plus
