Job Purpose

We are looking for a detail-oriented
Payment Specialist
to ensure the accurate and timely execution of all company payments. This role is responsible for processing domestic and international transactions, maintaining payment records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting finance operations. The ideal candidate is precise, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process domestic and international payments (ACH, SEPA, SWIFT, etc.) in line with internal procedures.
  • Verify, approve, and record payments with proper documentation.
  • Reconcile payment transactions with bank statements and ERP systems.
  • Monitor daily payment activity to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain updated records of vendors, payment terms, and banking details.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing payment-related data.
  • Prepare regular reports on payment activity, volumes, and variances.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in payments, accounts payable, or cash operations (preferably in a multinational or Romanian corporate environment).

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and electronic banking platforms.
  • Good knowledge of payment methods (ACH, SEPA, SWIFT).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
