Contracts Manager – Job Description

(Remote – Europe)

1.     
Job Responsibilities:

§  
Relationship Management

: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, clinical trial sponsors, and investigative sites.

§  
Project Oversight

: Manage projects within CTA Focus, including oversight of the contract negotiation process conducted by Contracts Associates (CAs).

§  
Document Development

: Create, update, and revise sponsor-specific templates, including contracts, budgets, amendments, and ancillary agreements.

§  
Sponsor & CA Support

: Respond efficiently to inquiries from CAs and sponsors, providing clear guidance and support.

§  
Reporting

: Review, consolidate, and prepare weekly reports for client presentations and internal tracking.

§  
Contract Negotiation Support

: Guide and support CAs in negotiating contract terms, budgets, and payment schedules, ensuring alignment with client and organizational objectives.

§  
Problem Solving

: Identify and resolve issues at the country and project levels to maintain project timelines and quality standards.

§  
Communication Liaison

: Serve as the primary point of contact between Site Contracts Associates and internal/external stakeholders.

§  
Functional Guidance

: Provide direction and updates on contract statuses, pending issues, and process improvements to ensure transparency and efficiency.

§  
Business Development Partnership

: Collaborate with business development teams and represent the site contracts function in internal and external meetings.

§
Compliance & Reporting

: Ensure timely and accurate completion of activity reports and timesheets on a daily and weekly basis.

Qualifications:

§  
Education
: Law degree or equivalent professional experience required.

§  
Experience
: Minimum of 7 years' experience in negotiating /leading contracts and budgets, preferably within the clinical research or pharmaceutical industry.

§  
Organizational Skills
: Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

§  
Communication
: Proven ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

§  
Technical Skills
: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong analytical and data management capabilities.

§  
Language Skills
: Excellent proficiency in English; additional languages are considered a strong advantage.
