PROJECT DETAILS

We are looking for a Senior Delivery Director to join our leadership team in Romania. This role is critical for supporting the Country Head in building and expanding our Romanian location. The person will take on shared responsibilities in growing the site, driving delivery excellence, and representing the location in strategic initiatives.

The Senior Delivery Director will act as a close partner to the Country Head, working day-to-day on client delivery, growth activities, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in delivery leadership, combined with experience in sales, pre-sales, and active participation in RFPs, bids, up-selling, and cross-selling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with the Country Head to build and grow the Romanian location, supporting strategic goals and operational excellence.
• Manage delivery across multiple accounts and projects, ensuring quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute actively to business development: support in sales and pre-sales cycles, participate in RFP processes, proposals, and bids.
• Drive up-selling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
• Act as a senior representative of the Romanian location in client meetings, partner discussions, and internal initiatives.
• Work with internal stakeholders to align delivery, sales, recruitment, and marketing efforts to strengthen the local site's position.
• Mentor and support delivery managers and teams, ensuring professional growth and high performance.
• Ensure financial health of accounts: manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L accountability for delivery streams.
• Contribute to the visibility of the Romanian location by supporting external presentations, events, and introductory meetings.

SKILLS

• 10+ years of proven leadership in IT delivery management, with a track record of managing large teams and complex engagements.
• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, engineering practices, and IT delivery models (will be a huge plus).
• Experience in sales and pre-sales, with active participation in RFPs, proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated success in driving up-sell and cross-sell opportunities in existing client accounts.
• Solid financial acumen, with experience in P&L management, forecasting, and delivering profitability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the company externally and internally.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with C-level executives, CTOs, and senior decision-makers.
• Fluent in English (Advanced level).
• Previous experience in building or expanding a location/team is a strong plus.
