Zebra Market is seeking a dynamic and strategic SAP Director on behalf of our client, a leading provider of technology consulting services. Our client specializes in business digital transformation, implementing private or public SAP HANA Cloud solutions to drive innovation and build resilience.
They are known for their commitment to exceptional customer satisfaction (with an average NPS score of 92% over the last couple of years), a process-driven approach to solution implementation, attention to organizational change management, and industry focus and expertise.
Role Overview:
The SAP Director will be pivotal in growing our client's SAP business, with a strong emphasis on cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SAP HANA technology and cloud solutions, a strong background in manufacturing, construction, distribution, and/or agriculture industries, and a proven track record of driving business growth and maintaining high Net Promoter Scores (NPS) for existing customers.
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive the growth of the client's SAP cloud business, including identifying new market opportunities and expanding offerings.
- Collaborate with the client's sales and marketing teams to create compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies for cloud solutions.
- Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies to acquire new cloud customers and expand the cloud footprint within existing accounts.
- Anticipate and effectively deal with market, customer, or social trends that could enhance the organization's opportunities or adversely impact business results.
Customer Engagement:
- Own and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges, ensuring solutions align with their business objectives.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance customer experience and satisfaction throughout the entire lifecycle, from onboarding to ongoing support.
- Monitor and analyze NPS scores and customer feedback, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to address concerns.
- Ensure a holistic involvement in the service delivery lifecycle: receive and manage demand from customers; understand and confirm requirements; match requirements with SAP functionalities and best practices; allocate and prioritize workload across the team; ensure delivery to expected quality and timescales.
- Lead the client's SAP team and other project team members in the delivery of projects that require end-to-end process and technical expertise, as well as SAP best practices knowledge.
- Ensure project deadlines and schedules are met; ensure project team members prioritize multiple tasks effectively and understand the components of running a fiscally successful project.
- Coach/Advise project team members on project management best practices and consistent application of project standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead career development and succession management efforts to ensure retention, motivation, and engagement of current and future SAP team members; coach and mentor their professional and technical development to drive individual and team success.
- Participate in the recruitment process and grow the team.
- Perform resource planning, developing the team's skill matrix; optimizing the team's workload and improving the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide an environment that allows and perpetuates empowerment by pushing decision-making responsibility down to the lowest level within practical qualifications.
- Create and implement engagement and performance action plans.
- Establish clear goals and performance metrics for the team, regularly tracking progress and providing feedback to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team.
- Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within the team.
Business Partnerships and Administration:
- Manage the partner relationship with SAP, achieving/fulfilling specific requirements (KPIs, business plan, necessary authorizations, compliance requirements, usage of SAP presales/sales and project implementation procedures and methodologies, etc.).
- Stay current and up-to-date with SAP's product and service offerings.
- Prepare for and assure compliance with company and group procedures and methodologies.
- Partner with other company and group departments to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service, and/or business processes; continuously look for improvement opportunities.
- Ensure output delivery from Third-Party Suppliers to agreed timescales and as per service level agreements.
- Take full P&L responsibility: prepare/revise annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets, using pipeline, resource planning, staffing needs, and other revenue/cost estimations as input and actively controlling expenditures.
- Work closely with executive leadership to provide regular updates on cloud business performance, customer satisfaction metrics, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in SAP solutions, with a focus on cloud technologies, implementation, and business development.
- Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and expanding cloud offerings within a competitive market.
- Strong understanding of customer experience principles and methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to maintain high NPS scores.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and a strong understanding of financial metrics, ratios, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proven track record of managing P&L statements effectively, including identifying areas for improvement, implementing cost-saving measures, and optimizing revenue streams to achieve profitability goals.
- Ability to develop accurate financial forecasts and budgets based on a thorough analysis and understanding of market trends, business dynamics, and operational requirements.
- Trusted advisor - ability to establish strong relationships based on knowledge of customer and partner requirements and commitment to value.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and methodologies.
- Experience delivering solutions using both package and custom development solutions.
- Will-do, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to travel.
