Factory Director

We are looking for an experienced Factory Director to lead a major manufacturing site for a global food company. The company is a leader in the snacking industry, producing a wide range of biscuits, chocolates, and confectionery products enjoyed by millions around the world.

This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a strategically important plant, drive operational excellence, and influence the companys growth and innovation strategy in the region.

Your Role

As Factory Director, you will be responsible for the overall operational performance of the plant: ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance. Youll lead a team of professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.

Youll report directly to the General Manager for Romania & Eastern Europe and act as a key business partner in driving both local and regional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all factory operations, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.

• Develop and coach the management team, promoting ownership, engagement, and high performance.

• Translate group-level strategies into actionable factory plans (automation, productivity, sustainability).

• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.

• Support new product development and process innovation in collaboration with Marketing and Product Development.

• Ensure full compliance with local and international standards (GMP, QHSE, corporate policies).

• Develop and manage investment plans aligned with plant growth and efficiency goals.

• Monitor internal and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Proven experience as a Factory Manager / Plant Director in FMCG or food manufacturing.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.

• Expertise in lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Strategic thinker capable of translating vision into execution.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• Experience in a fast-paced, multinational environment is highly valued.
