What We're Looking For

We are not hiring a "Director of Engineering " in name only. We are hiring a 
founding engineering operator
 who will:

  • Own the platform
     end-to-end — stability, speed, scale, security.
  • Ship production code
     every week.
  • Lead with clarity
    : define metrics, architecture, timelines, and eliminate excuses.
  • Work full-time and only on this project.
     No side gigs. No moonlighting.
  • Become part of the founding team
     — working directly with the CRO, CEO, and head of AI to bring the product from 
    working
     to 
    category-defining
    .

What You Will Own

  • Platform Reliability & Scale

Architect the system for 99.99% uptime, multi-region deployment, and sub-100ms agent response times.

  • Customer-Driven Development

Translate direct customer feedback into features, iterate fast, and ship improvements in days — not quarters.

  • Single-Threaded Focus

One platform, one mission. Every commit and architectural choice must move the core product forward.

  • Engineering Leadership

Recruit, mentor, and scale a Bucharest engineering team from 0 → 25+, instilling a culture of velocity, ownership, and uncompromising quality.

  • Metrics that Matter

Reduce latency, increase adoption, drive ARR impact — every engineering decision tied directly to measurable business outcomes.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Architect and scale LangGraph-based agent infrastructure for high-concurrency, high-reliability performance.
  • Lead backend and data platform development — including ElasticSearch vectors, scraping, signal enrichment, and AI-agent orchestration.
