Accounting Specialist @HeyBlu

As an Accounting Specialist, you will be involved in the day-to-day accounting operations in relation to the financial products, as well as the activities for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing.

What you'll have to do:

  • Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks, ensure the accuracy and compliance with IFRS standards of accounting records in respect to the financial products transactions;
  • Work closely with operations team to ensure daily and monthly reconciliation between data available in SAP and reporting files & source systems;
  • Work closely with risk team and ensure the accuracy of loan loss provisions calculation, including posting in SAP;
  • Prepare and posting the monthly accruals in relation to the financial products (e.g., interest, fees etc.);
  • Assist in the implementation of new financial products from an accounting perspective, working closely with cross-functional teams to test and ensure error-free system integration;
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting processes;
  • Support during the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing;
  • Be actively involved in internal and external audit processes.

How we'd like you to be:

  • With Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • With minimum of 2-3 years experience in the banking/ financial services field (IFN);
  • With good knowledge of banking products (consumer credit, debit & credit cards etc.);
  • With good knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirement;
  • Proficient in MS Office applications;
  • Experienced in working with ERP systems (SAP) - is a plus;
  • With attention to detail and accuracy;
  • With the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Able to speak, read and write English on a business level.
