Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting Specialist
to lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions across our global operations and value chain. This role is critical to advancing our decarbonization strategy by ensuring accurate, transparent, and science-based emissions inventories in alignment with leading regulatory and voluntary frameworks, including the
GHG Protocol
and the
Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in GHG accounting and data management, coupled with a passion for sustainability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

GHG Accounting & Inventory Management

  • Manage and continuously improve systems for emissions calculations (e.g., climate software and supporting manual processes) using appropriate emission factors and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive GHG inventories across
    Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
    , including emerging requirements such as
    FLAG emissions
    .
  • Identify, validate, and reconcile energy and emissions data; investigate discrepancies and partner with subject matter experts to ensure data integrity.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Collaborate with the ESG Data Governance and Finance teams to deliver accurate reporting at the global, entity, country, and facility level.
  • Ensure compliance with key frameworks and disclosure standards, including
    GHG Protocol, CDP, CSRD, ISSB, and SBTi
    .
  • Maintain proper documentation, secure necessary approvals, and respond effectively to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Support third-party assurance processes by ensuring policies, calculations, and documentation remain accurate and up to date.

Analysis & Insights

  • Prepare annual, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports on energy consumption and emissions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support lifecycle assessments (LCAs) and product-level emissions analyses.
  • Provide data-driven insights, modeling, and recommendations to inform both global and local decarbonization strategies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in
    GHG accounting/carbon foot printing
  • Strong knowledge of the
    GHG Protocol
    and related reporting frameworks.
  • Proficiency with climate/ESG reporting software and data management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for sustainability and advancing corporate climate strategies.
