New opportunity in Craiova – Facility Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing Industry)

On behalf of our client,
a prestigious aviation manufacturing company that is now entering the Romanian market by opening its new facility in Craiova
, we are looking for a passionate and hands-on
Facility Maintenance Manager
to play a key role in setting up and maintaining a world-class production environment.

As part of the start-up team, the Facility Maintenance Manager will be responsible for defining, coordinating, and supervising all technical installations, maintenance operations, and facility management activities — ensuring the site's readiness for production and long-term operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup of the Craiova facility in close collaboration with technical teams in Germany and Hungary (including building fixtures, equipment installations, and site infrastructure).
• Oversee
  Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  and ensure efficient operation of all machines, utilities, and support systems.
• Manage preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and energy efficiency programs.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers for installations, upgrades, and repair work.
• Drive continuous improvement in facility operations, waste reduction, and sustainability initiatives.
• Supervise and develop a skilled maintenance team while ensuring adherence to EHS standards.

We are looking for:

• A professional with
  5+ years of experience in facility maintenance and management
  , ideally in an
  industrial or manufacturing environment
  .
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and building systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on and proactive approach.
• Fluent in
  English and Romanian
  .
• Willingness to travel for training and coordination (approx. 3 months in Germany/Hungary).
