About the Role

As a
General Purchaser
, you will play a vital role in developing the supplier base and managing procurement processes for Diehl Aviation's new facility in Craiova.

You will support the operational setup by sourcing equipment, materials, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all procurement activities meet quality, cost, and timing expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a reliable network of local suppliers for facility equipment, services, and operational materials.
• Coordinate procurement activities in close collaboration with Diehl's teams in Germany and other international locations.
• Negotiate with suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal policies and securing the best value and quality.
• Manage the preparation, evaluation, and processing of purchase orders and supplier offers.
• Provide procurement support for the setup of new facilities and production operations.
• Handle supplier claims and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
• Ensure procurement goals are aligned with company strategy and operational needs.

Essential Requirements

• Willingness to relocate/travel to HUN/GER for initial training (90 days).
• 3 years of experience in Procurement and Project Management (experience required, certification not mandatory).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) – 100% proficiency required.
• Proven experience with SAP Procurement modules and SAP Ariba (
  must-have
  ).
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Good understanding of construction drawings and technical specifications for services.
• Knowledge of local suppliers for equipment, facility services, and materials.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in facility start-up projects or industrial setups.
• Knowledge of Air Law and Contract Procurement Law.
• Familiarity with the 8D method (experience preferred, certification not required).
• Previous experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector.
• Multicultural communication experience and adaptability to international work environments.
