Team Leadership and Development:
Manage and develop the nearshore pricing team, providing mentorship and fostering a positive work environment.
Standard Operational Pricing:
Lead nearshore operational support for onshore teams and engage with regional P&M Heads to gather and implement requirements.
Studies, Innovation, and Process Improvement
- Develop global benchmarks and tools and provide insights for process improvements.
Process Efficiency, communication and collaboration
- Monitor the workload with the team leaders, allocate resources and enhance the collaboration between nearshore teams to improve the global efficiency
Ensure an adequate organization for an optimal communication and global collaboration
Compliance and governance
- Ensure adequate compliance through internal controls
Ensure the application of RI & MGA Pricing Guidelines and Best Practices"
Key duties and responsibilities
Team leadership and development:
- Manage and develop the team of pricing actuaries/modelers in the nearshore location, focusing on building a solid talent pipeline through training and career development.
- Lead the development and sharing of knowledge across teams.
Mentor team members, foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and drive the team towards achieving their goals.
Standard Operational Pricing:
- Lead the operational support provided to the onshore teams with respect to data management and pricing/modelling.
- Regularly engage with onshore teams (including regional P&M Heads) to understand their requirements and translate these into actionable tasks for the nearshore team.
- With the objective to ensure smooth renewal process and to improve the global efficiency, monitor the workload, allocate resources, set priorities and enhance the collaboration between nearshore teams.
Ensure an adequate organization of the nearshore teams for an optimal communication and collaboration with the onshore teams during the renewal process.
Studies, Innovation and Process Improvement:
- Participate in or lead the development of global benchmarks.
- Lead the nearshore team support for creation of dashboards and development of tools.
- Help expand SCOR's analytical capabilities by providing resources to develop code, support testing and maintenance, and partner with IT.
- Support the alignment of centralized data between Cat and NonCat, and between SBS and Reinsurance.
- Proactively engage pricing & modelling colleagues to identify workflow inefficiencies in producing portfolio analytics and collaborate with stakeholders to address these inefficiencies.
- Participate in the evaluation and enhancement of P&M processes, workflows, methods, and tools (xAct, vendor models, new tools, etc.), identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and streamlining to gain efficiency.
Lead the nearshore team in supporting R&D activities to enhance SCOR's risk assessment and pricing models, working closely with P&C operations."
Expand SCOR's Analytical Capabilities:
- Functionalities: Consult stakeholders to ensure user feedback and findings following release of new tools are incorporated
- Coherence: Support the alignment of centralised data between Cat and NonCat, and between SBS and Reinsurance
Communication: Proactively engage pricing & modelling colleagues to identify workflow inefficiencies in producing portfolio analytics and collaborate with stakeholders to address these inefficiencies. "
Cross-functional Communication:
- Participate in feedback loops with local P&M teams and the data & analytics team to ensure accurate and timely information exchange, resolve issues, and support business objectives.
Consult stakeholders to ensure user feedback and findings following the release of new tools are incorporated."
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure adequate compliance through internal controls over the pricing and modelling activities in the nearshore region.
Ensure the application of RI & MGA Pricing Guidelines and Best Practices; participate in their development and contribute to the improvement of the P&M framework and methodologies."
Influence decision-making:
Set the ground for transversal collaboration and operational excellence, identify, define and coordinate process to be applied across regions
Guidelines and Frameworks:
Ensure the adequate application of RI & MGA Pricing Guidelines and Best Practice; participate in its development and contribute to the improvement of P&M framework and methodologies
Budget and resources:
Monitor carefully costs and budget of the P&M cost center of the region and ensure team resources are invested responsively and effectively. "
Required experience & competencies
Leadership and managerial skills:

Required experience:
- Long work experience in the financial services industry, preferably in reinsurance/insurance with a focus on analytical and/or actuarial work, for instance the development and structuring of reinsurance products, financial instruments, and pricing tools
- Strong mathematical, modelling, technical background, expertise in digital technology and data engineering
- Knowledge in P&C lines of business and reinsurance underwriting is an advantage
At least 5 years' experience in leading actuarial topics; experience in managing large projects across multiple teams in different locations is considered a plus

Required Education
- Excellent academic qualifications including a minimum of a bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, other scientific discipline (statistics, physics, natural science), economics or finance.
- An advanced degree (master's or PhD) would be a plus.
- Insurance qualifications or actuarial credentials are strongly preferred.
English: C1 level (CECRL)
