Let's talk about the role

The P&C Pricing & Modelling (P&M) team provides comprehensive risk pricing and modelling analyses to company's underwriting teams located worldwide, ensuring adequate solutions for company's clients. The P&M teams are also highly involved in the development and improvement of methods, tools and processes for Pricing and Modelling, as well as the integration of data science and AI.

We're looking for an experienced leader to manage our nearshore P&C Pricing & Modelling team. You'll oversee a group of actuaries and modelers who provide pricing and analytical support to underwriting teams worldwide. The role combines team leadership, coordination of projects across regions, and the development of tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. You'll work closely with colleagues in different countries to ensure high-quality pricing, smooth operations, and continuous improvement in the way we work.

What will you do?

Team Leadership and Development:

• Oversee and develop the nearshore pricing team, providing mentorship and fostering a positive work environment.

Standard Operational Pricing:

• Lead nearshore operational support for onshore teams and engage with regional Pricing & Modelling Heads to gather and implement requirements.
• Work to keep the renewal process smooth and efficient by monitoring workloads, allocating resources, setting priorities, and strengthening collaboration between nearshore teams, while maintaining clear organization to support optimal communication with onshore teams.

Studies, Innovation, and Process Improvement:

• Develop global benchmarks and tools and provide insights for process improvements.
• Expand analytical capabilities through coding support, testing, maintenance, and collaboration with IT.
• Enhance processes and models by streamlining workflows, promoting automation, and supporting R&D for better risk assessment and pricing.

Process Efficiency, communication and collaboration:

• Monitor the workload with the team leaders, allocate resources and enhance the collaboration between nearshore teams to improve the global efficiency.
• Ensure an adequate organization for an optimal communication and global collaboration.

Compliance and governance:

• Ensure compliance through internal controls and adherence to reinsurance and managing general agent pricing guidelines and best practices.

Influence decision-making:

• Set the ground for transversal collaboration and operational excellence, identify, define and coordinate process to be applied across regions.

Required experience:

• Significant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably in reinsurance/insurance with a focus on analytical and/or actuarial work (e.g. development and structuring of reinsurance products, financial instruments, pricing tools.)
• Strong mathematical, modelling, technical background, expertise in digital technology and data engineering.
• Knowledge in P&C lines of business and reinsurance underwriting is an advantage.
• At least 5 years' experience in leading actuarial topics; experience in managing large projects across multiple teams in different locations is considered a plus.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, physics, natural sciences, economics, or finance.
• An advanced degree (master's or PhD) would be a plus.
• Insurance qualifications or actuarial credentials are strongly preferred.
• English: C1 level or higher.
