Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 10:00–19:00 (Romanian time), aligned with U.S. client, with occasional flexibility until 20:00 due to U.S. West Coast collaborations.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the our client's
Risk &
Law department
which includes attorneys and paralegals working across HR, tax law, and legal operations. The role is part of a long-term digital transformation initiative and involves close collaboration with stakeholders in the U.S., Romania, and India.

You'll work in a structured, cross-functional team to gather and break down business requirements, analyze integrations, and support product development teams in understanding and delivering business value. You'll partner with a U.S.-based Operations Manager and a Senior/Lead BA in Romania, acting as a key point of contact for various internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in all phases of the development life cycle.
  • Facilitate and document both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories.
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Architects in agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
  • Investigate and support resolution of legacy integration issues, tickets, bugs, and new features.
  • Participate in backlog grooming, planning sessions, and user story refinement.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar.
  • Strong communication and adaptability when working with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand/interpret stakeholder needs and work closely with stakeholders to define effective metrics for reporting.
  • Excellent documentation and analytical skills.
  • Skilled in applying judgment to balance process compliance with achievement of business objectives.
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to occasionally work until 20:00 to align with West Coast stakeholders.
  • Maturity, resilience, and curiosity in tackling complex tasks and datasets.

Nice to Have:
Experience working with legal, tax, or HR departments, since the role is opened within our client's Risk & Law department. Previous exposure to cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
