We have attracted over 40 million users across 170 countries.

Mode Mobile is proud to stand as the #1 Fastest Growing North American Software Company recognized in Deloitte's 2023 Technology Fast 500, and ranked #2 across all sectors (Deloitte Fast 500 Winners)

The Role
Be the connector behind Mode Mobile's acquisitions, ensuring every deal is well-organized, accurate, and seamlessly transitioned.
We are looking for a proactive and highly organized M&A Operations Coordinator to play a critical role in supporting Mode Mobile's growing mergers and acquisitions activities. As an individual contributor, you will be the operational backbone of the M&A process, overseeing pipeline administration, coordinating due diligence workflows, managing our target tracking system, and ensuring seamless transitions post-close, from account transfers to systems access. With our acquisitions smaller in scale, the focus of this position is on precision, efficiency, and ensuring every process runs smoothly from initial diligence through integration.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-intensive environment and is eager to contribute to the growth of Mode Mobile's M&A capability.

Who You Are and What You'll Do

  • M&A Pipeline Support (Short-Term):

  • Build and maintain a structured M&A database tracker with key data points on all acquisition targets.

  • Organize and centralize due diligence materials for each target, including financial, legal, technical, and operational documents.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and team to gather, organize, and track key metrics for each potential acquisition (e.g., user growth, revenue, retention, CAC/LTV, ROAS).
  • Track and manage follow-ups and communications with acquisition targets, coordinating internally and externally to ensure timely next steps.
  • Support the development of Letters of Intent (LOIs) for selected targets, compiling information and drafting sections in collaboration with legal and finance.

  • Integration Management:

  • Develop and maintain a standardized post-close transition checklist, ensuring that relevant functions (e.g.,, Finance, People/Culture (HR), Legal, Product, Engineering, Marketing) are addressed appropriately for each acquisition.

  • Drive integration project timelines, identify and escalate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure accountability across stakeholders.
  • Partner with the People Team to support the onboarding of acquired teams or contractors, ensuring consistency with Mode Mobile's systems, processes, and cultural values.
  • Capture key integration outcomes and insights, ensuring continuous improvement of Mode Mobile's acquisition processes and playbooks.
  • Coordinate with product and engineering to consolidate data systems, platforms, or infrastructure post-acquisition where needed.
  • Maintain a centralized record of integration activities and provide regular status updates to the CFO and leadership team.
  • Facilitate the transfer of developer accounts on Google Play and Apple App Store post-acquisition, ensuring proper documentation and access control.
  • Assist with setting up and transitioning ad monetization accounts (e.g., AdMob, AppLovin, Meta) for newly acquired apps.

  • Strategic Contribution:

  • Recommend and implement tools and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency in M&A operations (e.g., CRM for targets, document management systems, standardized tracking templates).

  • Collaborate with leadership to define and institutionalize repeatable playbooks and templates for evaluating, acquiring, and transitioning mobile app businesses.
  • Maintain awareness of market activity and competitor acquisitions to provide context and benchmarks for Mode Mobile's growth strategy.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 3+ years of proven experience in M&A project management, M&A operations, or M&A support (tech, mobile, or high-growth startup environments preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and timelines.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel), project management tools (e.g., Asana, Notion, Airtable), and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Prior experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A), integration, or startup deal execution.
  • Prior experience in B2C Apps and/or ad-centric business models is a strong plus.
  • Alignment with our core values:

  • Caring: You genuinely care about yourself and others, our business and craft, our mission and vision, and are passionate in heart and mind. You understand the importance of our team and strive to create a positive, supportive work environment.
  • Curious: You focus on the 'why,' learn and expand your knowledge, explore new ideas, and generally make things better. You're a lifelong learner with a thirst for knowledge and a constant desire to improve.
