Your mission
As Regional Sales Manager at Sandvik Coromant, your mission is to lead, inspire, and empower a high-performing sales team to deliver exceptional customer value and drive sustainable growth across the region. You will translate strategic goals into actionable plans, ensuring alignment with our global sales strategy while fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous development. By leveraging data-driven insights and cross-functional partnerships, you will identify opportunities, optimize sales execution, and build long-term customer relationships. Your leadership will be key in shaping a future-ready sales force that thrives on innovation, customer focus, and operational excellence.
Location of the sucessful candidate is within Romania.
Key performance areas
In this role you will lead and develop the Sales Team of Account Managers and Application Specialists ensuring alignment with the Coromant Front Line Sales strategy. You will be responsible for delivering financial, product, industry segment & solution targets according to local business plan. You will navigate in data driven decision-making, ensuring CRM and business intelligence tools like Power BI and Dynamics are fully leveraged. You will identify respective Sales Team development needs / gaps and support competence development of roles within your area of responsibility.
You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure profitable and sustainable growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear targets and driving execution of the local business plan.
- Monitor regional business performance and ensure delivery against financial objectives.
- Coach team members through regular feedback, training, and succession planning.
- Apply strategic customer development and ensure ROI through effective time and opportunity management.
- Support strategic customer relationships and contribute to business development through forecasting and market analysis.
- Drive team competence, onboarding, and performance management, while fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Your profile
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to grow our business and develop high-performing teams in alignment with the Sandvik Leadership Model and Core Values.
You hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Economics, or a related field, and bring 5–10 years of experience in sales and marketing management—preferably within the engineering or cutting tools industry. You have a strong track record of delivering solid business results, outperforming market conditions, and applying a data-driven approach to decision-making. Your background includes successful negotiation of commercial terms with industrial customers, along with relevant experience in account and sales management.Project management knowledge and experience are essential, as is your ability to manage both internal and external customer relationships effectively.
This role requires a structured, business-oriented approach to managing diverse and remote teams, with a strong emphasis on performance management, accountability, and clear communication to ensure targets are met. You are highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You are proficient in utilizing Sandvik Coromant Business Tools and Concepts such as Dynamics (CRM), Productivity Improvement Programs (PIP), Productivity Analyzer (PA), LEAN, CVF, Manufacturing Economics, and Selling Higher. Your digital fluency includes the effective use of Office 365 tools (e.g., Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) to collaborate, follow up, and ensure a structured approach to achieving business goals. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
You need to have native level of language spoken within the territory and English on advanced level.
You must be an active driver as travelling across the territory will be frequent.
