What You'll Do
We're seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a regional segment of our Platform Support team — the global triage layer responsible for ensuring uptime and service health across Braze's infrastructure and customer-facing systems.

This team monitors system performance, executes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and provides real-time alert triage and response. As their manager, you'll focus on team development, process improvement, and ensuring effective support coverage across both platform and product engineering services. You'll work closely with other engineering leaders to ensure systems are not only monitored but also meaningfully improved.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of Platform Support Engineers (PSEs) focused on operational response and system health
• Drive hiring, mentorship, and performance for early-career engineers in a follow-the-sun support model
• Improve triage workflows, alert coverage, escalation protocols, and team efficiency
• Partner with SRE, Platform, and Product Engineering teams to ensure service visibility and incident readiness
• Own and report on key team metrics like First Response Time (FRT), Average Resolution Time (ART), MTTR, and documentation coverage

WHO YOU ARE

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, SRE, or support engineering roles
• 2+ years managing or leading a technical operations/support team, ideally with a regional or shift-based scope
• Experienced with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) and alert triage workflows
• Calm, pragmatic, and collaborative, especially under pressure
