We are a Process team that is part of the Field & Scale Operations organization focused on order to cash lifecycle for Microsoft products and services. We manage pre-sales processes through pipeline management, ensuring successful close to secure revenue while optimizing deal management processes in partnership with the field.

The process team's mission is to drive significant and transformative changes that align with the organization's long-term strategic goals while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement. The team collaborates across the greater MBO organization to redesign processes as part of the company's strategic alignment, while also implementing incremental improvements for sustained growth and efficiency. Position Description:

An ideal Process Program Manager (PPM) candidate is armed with process transformation experience and will possess a growth and learning mindset, positive energy, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in this rapid paced environment. The candidate will look at processes objectively and select the appropriate methodologies to maximize efficiencies across the business as we scale global field operations through groundbreaking technologies. Responsibilities include designing processes and defining business outcomes to assess process performance by conducting research and investigations. The PPM will then execute the process in accordance with compliance and controls, and will monitor and evaluate processes, including running and measuring metrics to ensure the process is performing as expected. Additionally, the PPM facilitates process-level change management efforts, using a working understanding of the business, executes end-to-end governance for a process, executes process-level risk mitigation controls and/or anticipates risk across a process lifecycle, and maintains supplier governance for outsourced work on behalf of Microsoft. You'll also be at the forefront of integrating AI to enhance processes and accelerate business outcomes. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Process Risk Management:

o Executes process-level risk mitigation controls and/or anticipates risk across a simple process lifecycle (e.g., design, execution, optimization, evaluation), including logging and tracking risk. Shares process risk information with team.

  • Supplier Governance:

o Facilitates end-to-end process view by providing data, research, and assessment results to manager and team. Facilitates stakeholder collaboration to drive process outcomes, with guidance. Compiles information on pain points to assist with identification of alternative solutions and options to resolve challenges with business partners.

  • Process Design and Execution:

o Executes the process in accordance with compliance and controls. Facilitates end-to-end process view by providing data, research, and assessment results to manager and team. Facilitates stakeholder collaboration to drive process outcomes, with guidance. Compiles information on pain points to assist with identification of alternative solutions and options to resolve challenges with business partners.

o Designs the process and defines business outcomes for simple processes/parts of a process to assess process performance by conducting research and investigations. Facilitates work to help define yearly goals, anchoring to industry standards and process measures, implementing controls, maintaining compliance, optimizing customer experience, and helping to drive cost down.

  • Process Maintenance and Optimization:

o Monitors and evaluates processes, including running and measuring metrics to ensure the process is performing as expected. Conducts data analysis to support a straightforward process/part of a process and provides evidence for identifying opportunities (e.g., aligning to industry standards, increasing productivity/efficiency, maintaining compliance/controls). Facilitates benchmarking and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs). Communicates findings to their manager to maintain continuous feedback loops across stakeholders.

o Facilitates process-level change management efforts, using working understanding of the business (e.g., readiness, timing, impact on stakeholders, data, tools, systems, policy, return on investment [ROI]).

o Incorporates process methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, value stream mapping, Prosci) to suggest process-level process improvements, including optimizing, maintaining, and transforming current processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Compiles feedback from others to build a business case for change and shares with manager.

  • Process Governance:

o Executes end-to-end governance for simple processes/parts of a process. Documents flow, controls, underlying systems, and requirements needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND extensive work experience in Process Management/Execution/Optimization or Operations Program, Launch Management, Project Management
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Detailed understanding of Lean, Business Process Management Professional, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Six Sigma, and/or Agile processes.
  • Working understanding of data models/analytics and trend analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with complex project or program management, preferably with large commercial enterprises.
  • Certifications in Lean, Business Process Management Professional, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Six Sigma, and/or Agile processes.
  • Experience managing a cross-organizational rhythm of business up to exec audiences.
