Your Impact:
As aBid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the solution assessment process for qualified Sales opportunities, ensuring technical alignment and delivery feasibility. You will manage the creation of delivery estimates, project plans, and customer-facing contracts, while collaborating closely with Sales, Professional Services, and other stakeholders. Acting as the delivery lead for larger opportunities, you will support RFx responses, negotiate final delivery scope with clients, and ensure a smooth hand-off to Professional Services post-contract signature. Your contributions will drive successful bids, minimize risk exposure, and enhance process efficiency across the end-to-end bid lifecycle.
What the Role Offers:
- Lead solution assessment to validate technical agreement for qualified Sales opportunities.
- Produce delivery effort estimates and develop implementation schedules/project plans.
- Act as delivery lead for large opportunities and represent Professional Services in virtual deal teams.
- Support RFx responses by providing Professional Services input.
- Draft and negotiate customer-facing contracts for delivery scope.
- Collaborate with bid teams to create alternative delivery options that meet client requirements and reduce risk.
- Facilitate seamless hand-off to Professional Services upon contract signature.
- Drive process improvements in estimation techniques and standard contract language.
- Partner with Sales to analyze forecasts and support resource planning and budgeting.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Engineering to ensure bid success.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make sound, timely judgments under limited data.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, able to identify issues and develop logical solutions.
- Proven ability to inspire collaboration and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Solid technical expertise in application design, solution development, and EDI business-to-business eCommerce.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills for clear, persuasive presentations and documentation.
- Practical experience in architecting application and hardware components.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
