Job Title: Senior Manager

Location: Bucharest- Sector 1, Romania

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the accounting function for all group entities in Romania.
  • Streamline and improve accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger and month end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, Romanian GAAP, local tax regulations (ANAF) and financial reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes (target of workday 3-4 closing), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risks, providing recommendations to management.
  • Lead group consolidation processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting across all entities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial accuracy.
  • Coordinate audits (internal and external) and liaise with auditors and tax authorities.
  • Support the Group CFO & Chief Accountant in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, optimize accounting systems and software to enhance efficiency and controls.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team ensuring professional growth and development.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and assess their impact on the group's operations.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and board presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field & preferably ACCA or CECCAR qualified (but not mandatory)
  • Experience:
    Minimum 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in ERP software (e.g. Dynamics, SAP) and Microsoft office suite.
  • Strong Excel skills for financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial & tax regulations, IFRS, Romanian GAAP etc.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
