We are looking, on behalf of our client, for a contractor
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
to join their team and contribute to building and maintaining robust, scalable platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand functional flows of managed platforms and support customers during onboarding and operational phases.
  • Harden platforms before go-live by reviewing design and implementation, tuning configurations, and developing auxiliary tools and monitoring.
  • Maintain platforms after go-live by monitoring availability, performance, and system health.
  • Troubleshoot and recover platforms during production incidents to meet SLAs; perform root cause analysis to prevent regressions.
  • Proactively seek improvements of non-functional requirements and collaborate with development teams to enhance operational aspects.
  • Validate readiness of new rollouts by developing and executing automated smoke test suites.
  • Provide technical expertise on products and support processes to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an
    SRE
    role or as an
    Integrator
    in a software company.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux ecosystem and tools.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Docker
    and
    Kubernetes
    .
  • Bash scripting and automation skills.
  • Understanding of networking topology and distributed web applications.
  • Experience with monitoring tools:
    Grafana, Elasticsearch
    .
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines
    .
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and testing tools (e.g., Postman)
  • Strong communication skills in English & Romanian (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of
    security and encryption mechanisms
    .
  • Experience with
    public cloud deployments
    (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of
    SQL database design, operations, and syntax
    .

Hybrid (Bucharest area – hybrid)

Daily Rate:
1100 RON/day
