Job Summary

We are seeking an EMEA Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries in the EMEA region, with an initial focus on the UK & Romania.

This role will play a key part in transitioning payroll responsibilities from external providers to Rippling (our global payroll technology) starting with the UK region to possible other countries thereafter, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing for all employees in scope.

This position will report directly to the Treasurer, based in the US, and will collaborate with HR, Finance, and external partners to maintain smooth payroll operations across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process monthly payrolls for EMEA entities (initially UK & Romania), ensuring accuracy and compliance with local labor, tax, and social security regulations;
  • Serve as the main point of contact for payroll matters in the EMEA region;
  • Maintain close collaboration with Employer of Records for Payroll and administration purposes;
  • Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate data flow (new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, benefits, etc.);
  • Validate payroll calculations, statutory deductions, and employer contributions for permanent, temporary, and contractor staff;
  • Coordinate with external vendors or local authorities as needed for filings and payments;
  • Support audits, reconciliations, and year-end statutory reports and other related to payroll;
  • Supports payroll-related benefits administration (such as health insurance, pension, etc.);
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support the global payroll structure transition;
  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection in line with GDPR and company policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field;
  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll operations, preferably within a multinational or multi-country environment;
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance across EMEA region (UK, Romania and others);
  • Advanced Excel skills;
  • Strong attention to details, sense of accountability and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (other European languages are a plus).

  • Experience with
    Rippling
    payroll system and ERP tools.
