Country Manager – Romania

Location: Bucharest (Hybrid)
Sector: Renewable Energy | Rooftop Solar | C&I PV

An international renewable energy IPP is looking for an experienced Country Manager to lead its Romanian business unit, based in Bucharest. With a solid presence in the market and an established team already on the ground, this is a high-impact leadership role for someone ready to take ownership and scale operations.

The company focuses on rooftop and commercial-scale solar PV projects, delivering end-to-end solutions for clients in the commercial and industrial sectors. The Romanian arm has already delivered notable projects across the country.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic growth and daily operations of the Romanian entity
  • Manage and grow an existing team including sales and project delivery functions
  • Take full ownership of the commercial pipeline, from acquisition through execution
  • Drive business development and secure new rooftop/C&I project contracts
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure successful delivery of solar projects
  • Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to align with evolving sector needs
  • Represent the business in Romania, acting as the senior face of the organisation locally
  • Collaborate closely with regional and international leadership to align goals

Requirements

  • Significant leadership experience in the Romanian renewable energy sector
  • Deep knowledge of the local C&I solar PV and rooftop market
  • Existing network of relevant commercial/industrial clients and partners
  • Proven track record in driving business growth and managing full P&L responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously and at pace
  • Strong commercial acumen and a hands-on approach to scaling operations
  • Fluent in Romanian and English (written and spoken)
