Our client is looking for a Sr Finance Manager to join their team in Bucharest. The individual will be acting as a business partner to the Country Leadership team on all commercial and financial issues to deliver revenue growth. The professional main responsibilities will be leading the development of a quality Long Range Plan and annual budget planning to ensure the achievement of the strategic objectives, and own a robust forecasting, reporting and performance management process.

Responsibilities

  • Management and leadership of Finance and Accounting team;
  • Develop and provide insightful analysis of financial performance to business management - developing their understanding of their P&L performance and underlying drivers;
  • Ensure the month end close is completed accurately and in accordance with the company's timelines;
  •  Prepare timely and accurate month end, quarter end and year end reporting packages in accordance with set guidelines and procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with US SOX internal control requirements as it relates to the month end close process;
  • Full responsibility for tax compliance. VAT, Income Tax, Social Security Tax, etc. All local returns are reviewed and signed off by Finance Director

Requirements

  • Fluent English;
  • Solid demonstrable experience in a Senior Finance/Accounting position managing a professional team with proven effective team and/or project management skills;
  • Professional accounting qualification;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting policies required, US GAAP knowledge essential;
  • Experience of implementing and improving financial systems including broader ERP. SAP would be advantageous
