Payroll Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As Payroll Specialist, you'll be responsible to coordinate payroll processes for the overall payroll lifecycle. You'll ensure all employees are paid in accordance with local laws and regulations and the company's established processing guidelines. You coordinate with the outsourced payroll company and you are the contact person towards authorities for all issues concerning payroll, tax and social insurance matters.

You will:

• Secure accurate, timely and compliant payroll execution in collaboration with external payroll provider
• Monitor, update and run all processes regarding employee hires, exits and staff changes
• Monitor employee time attendance system so that data is depicted correctly (absence, overtime etc.)
• Deliver trainings for basic payroll matters (e.g. time attendance, routines etc.) to key stakeholders
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee files
• Secure compliance with all external authorities relevant to payroll function and act as point of contact for authorities and internal customers
• Prepare needed reports internally and/or externally
• Manage employee benefits from payroll side (e.g. employee staff discount plan & Incentive Program).
• Manage projects directed by the Payroll Manager and contribute to department goals achievement.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH​

You'll collaborate with members of the payroll team working with area, accounting, store operations, global functions, regional functions. You will provide continuous support to our stores, offices, and logistics teams. Together, you'll ensure smooth Payroll operations and efficient service delivery across all locations.  

WHO YOU ARE​

We are looking for people with…

• Working experience in relevant payroll positions, preferably in retail business.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration/HR or equivalent professional certification - would be an asset.
• Understanding and staying up to date with local labor-payroll laws, legal regulations and payroll routines.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with attention to details.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (with a strong focus on Excel).
• Very good level of English, spoken and written.

​This is a full-time position, based in Bucharest, Romania. The Payroll Specialist is part of the payroll department and reports to the Sales Market Greece Payroll Manager.
