Overview

Grand Hotel Bucharest, an iconic five-star landmark in the heart of the city, is entering a new era of transformation and repositioning. We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Director of Food & Beverage
 to lead and elevate the hotel's complete F&B portfolio, including 
Corso Italian Restaurant
, 
SkyLounge & Bar
, 
Balada
 (new concept launch), 
Intermezzo Bar
, and 
Room Service & In-Room Dining
 operations for 257 guest rooms and suites.

Purpose of the Role

To drive excellence, innovation, and profitability across all F&B outlets by focusing on concept development
, 
marketing initiatives
, 
operational governance
, and 
service quality
. The role requires a dynamic leader capable of shaping the culinary identity of the Grand Hotel Bucharest while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full spectrum of F&B operations: Corso Italian Restaurant, SkyLounge & Bar, Balada, Intermezzo Bar, Room Service & In-Room Dining, and Banqueting.
  • Drive 
    concept development
     for existing and new venues, aligning with the hotel's repositioning strategy and market trends.
  • Lead all 
    F&B marketing initiatives
    , ensuring brand visibility, creative promotions, and a distinctive culinary identity in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing team.
  • Implement 
    robust governance frameworks
     across F&B operations, ensuring consistency, accountability, and compliance with financial, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Uphold world-class 
    service quality
     through training, performance management, and guest satisfaction monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Beverage Manager, and Restaurant Managers to design and execute innovative menus, events, and activations.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and outlet P&L performance, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Strengthen collaboration between operational and commercial departments to maximise revenue from MICE, banqueting, and in-house events.
  • Lead and develop a talented F&B management team, fostering creativity, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure impeccable hygiene and HACCP compliance standards are maintained throughout all outlets.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record as F&B Director or Multi-Outlet Manager in a five-star or luxury lifestyle hotel environment.
  • Strong expertise in F&B 
    concept development
    , 
    brand-driven marketing
    , and 
    governance excellence
    .
  • Deep understanding of restaurant operations, bar management, and in-room dining service standards.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with proven P&L management experience.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passionate about culinary innovation and guest experience.
  • Fluency in both
    Romanian &
    English is required; additional European languages an advantage.
