As a Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our IT landscape. You will be responsible for advising IT projects throughout their lifecycle and defining, maintaining and enforcing technical standards across the organization.

You will act as a gatekeeper to ensure architectural consistency, avoid technology sprawl, and promote simplicity, stability, manageability, cost-efficiency, and security.

This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lead stakeholders toward consensus, and a passion for continuous learning in a fast-evolving cloud environment.

Key duties and responsibilities

As a member of the Technical Architecture team your responsibilities are:

Automation

• Act as a change agent in SCOR IT to challenge manual technical tasks and promote automation.
• Support, on the infrastructure side, the effort of the new SCOR Software Factory in its effort to streamline application delivery.
• Retrofit lessons and technics learned into the existing traditional infrastructure
• Improve overall system reliability through automation.
  Provide hands-on support in case of critical troubleshooting

Technical Standards & Governance

• Define, document, and maintain IT technical standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
  Participate in architecture review boards and contribute to governance processes.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in cloud computing and enterprise architecture.
• Evaluate new tools and platforms for potential adoption in SCOR Technology Portfolio. Help include these technologies in SCOR CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to the evolution of the company's cloud strategy and digital transformation roadmap.

Required experience & competencies

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a strong focus on cloud-based solutions.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the reinsurance, insurance or other financial industry is a plus

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Public Cloud platforms, especially Azure. Alicloud is a plus.
• Strong experience on CI/CD platforms (Ansible, Terraform)
• Strong experience in networks (DNS, Routing), Storage (performance) and Identity Management
• Experience in architectural principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience in software engineering/scripting in any modern language (Python, Java, ...)
  Experience in Agile Methods

Soft Skills

• Create and deliver high-quality documentation and presentations to support decision-making and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to present complex situations in a clear way.

• Capacity to navigate in an international environment

Required Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
