Business Development Director Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead and expand our presence in the Romanian nuclear energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key partnerships, and driving growth in nuclear energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Growth & Market Expansion:
    • Develop a business development strategy aligned with Romania's nuclear energy goals.
    • Identify and pursue new opportunities in nuclear power generation, small modular reactors (SMRs), and related technologies.
    • Stay updated on regulatory and government policies impacting the Romanian nuclear sector.
  • Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, nuclear regulatory bodies, and energy companies.
    • Work closely with technology providers, EPC contractors, and international partners to explore collaborations.
    • Represent the company at industry conferences, government meetings, and networking events.
  • Project & Contract Management:
    • Lead negotiations for long-term contracts, joint ventures, and investment opportunities in nuclear energy projects.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to assess the feasibility and financial viability of nuclear projects.
    • Ensure compliance with Romanian and EU nuclear safety and environmental regulations.
  • Financial & Commercial Leadership:
    • Conduct market analysis and feasibility studies to support investment decisions.
    • Drive revenue growth and profitability through innovative business models and funding strategies.
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and business cases for nuclear projects.
    Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Management, or a related field. A Master's degree in Nuclear Energy is a plus. Minimum 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy roles within the nuclear energy sector or power generation. Strong understanding of nuclear energy markets, policies, and supply chains in Romania and the EU.

  • Fluency in Romanian and English.
