We are seeking a results-driven professional to join our project management team.

Job Description

As Manager of Project Management and Budget, you will be responsible for leading local and international team members as part of the Project Management Organization. Reporting directly to the Director Refurbishment Project Management, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective project delivery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project governance, processes, and tools to support successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure project managers have the necessary resources to manage their projects effectively.
  • Collaborate with PMs to establish project objectives, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee budget development and ensure alignment with organizational financial objectives.
  • Monitor expenditures, track budget variances, and provide regular financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain a risk management process to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Collaborate with PMs to develop risk management plans and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure regular review and assessment of new and existing risks, taking a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A post-secondary university degree in engineering, business administration in finances, or equivalent based on previous experience.
  • Previous experience in refurbishment, maintenance, and/or operation of a CANDU station is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in project management and project controls roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering/project management and cost control principles, codes, and standards.
  • A proven track record in large projects within the nuclear field.
  • Demonstrated experience in CANDU refurbishments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, possess excellent oral and writing skills, and strong facilitation, negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
