The Senior Accounting Expert will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This role involves preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to unique financial practices.

Key Responsibilities:\
\
  • \
  • PPE Ownership: Own the accounting process over vast domains of tangible assets, participate in yearly inventory checks;\
  • Transaction Oversight: Monitor and record all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness;\
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local laws, including tax regulations and industry-specific guidelines;\
  • Bank Payments: Initiate banking payments as a backup to the Head of Accounting;\
  • Teamwork: Directly interact with peers responsible for management reporting, assist with information flow needed for management accounts;\
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes for increased efficiency;\
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.\

Requirements:\
\
  • \
  • Education level: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;\
  • Basic knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is highly advantageous; Additionally, a strong desire to learn and actively engage in this type of reporting is essential;\
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in senior accounting roles, preferably within the IT/tech companies, and/or igaming, betting, or casino industry in Romania;\
  • Specific skills: Local accounting (SAGA, etc) + any international software (MS D365, Oracle, Sage);\
  • Would be a plus: Migration experience (from local to international software);\
  • Personal characteristics: Self-driven, accountable, energetic.\
