We presently have an opportunity in the IT team for an AI Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer.

The purpose of the position is to provide all prerequisites necessary for deployment of AI applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Virtualization everywhere
    – provision and manage
    internal VMs and Azure VMs
    for data pipelines and dashboards.
  • Azure compute mesh
    – setup and configure
    Azure VMs & AKS clusters
    , hook them to on-prem via VPN so data-science jobs can burst between environments.
  • Azure Active Directory
    administration – Security and Compliance, Identity and Access Management: Ensure secure access to resources using Azure AD.
  • CI/CD foundation
    – build GitLab pipelines that containerize, test and deploy the team's code.
  • Pair with team of data scientists to turn Jupyter notebooks into 24/7 APIs.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering lead on streaming feature pipelines.
  • Collaborate with external providers to integrate new solutions with existing business systems.

Skills:

  • 4 + yrs Sysadmin/DevOps on Linux
    and
    Windows.
  • Networking and Security: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configuration. Implementing security best practices, firewalls, and access controls.
  • Hands-on with GPU servers (drivers, firmware, Docker-NVIDIA).
  • Experience creating & managing
    VMs
    on both on-prem virtualization and Azure.
  • Strong Azure networking, AKS or Arc-enabled K8s, Azure AD.
  • CI/CD (GitLab/Azure DevOps) and IaC (Terraform/Bicep).
  • Azure Synapse / BigQuery / Snowflake (nice-to-have).
  • SQL for quick data audits (nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with Airflow or Cloud Composer (nice-to-have).
