Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
Working Method: 100% Remote (with 1-2 business trips per year; travel expenses reimbursed separately)

Role Overview
We are looking for a talented AI Operations Engineer to join our team and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of machine learning pipelines using Vertex AI. You will collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to deploy, monitor, and scale AI models across production environments. The role is central to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our AI workflows in a cloud-native setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage machine learning pipelines using Vertex AI

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and monitor production ML models

  • Ensure data integrity and scalability of AI workflows and data pipelines

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to model performance, data quality, and deployment reliability

  • Contribute to the automation and improvement of MLOps processes

  • Maintain documentation and ensure best practices in versioning and model governance

Required Skills & Experience

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • 35+ years of experience in AI operations, machine learning engineering, or a related technical role

  • Proven experience with Vertex AI pipeline development and management

  • Proficient in Python and SQL for data handling and processing

  • Strong understanding of ML lifecycle management and data science workflows

  • Experience with Airflow or other orchestration tools for managing ML workflows

  • Familiarity with BigQuery and large-scale data processing tools

  • Knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code for managing cloud resources

  • Solid background in data engineering principles, ETL pipelines, and model integration

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in English
