Sea & Air International Forwarder (f/m/d) in Bucharest/Romania

a. hartrodt Romania srl is offering a full time position for an Air/Seafreight Forwarder at our Bucharest branch.

Candidate Profile (Entry-Level)

• An entry-level candidate with a keen interest in logistics, international transport, and client communication. While prior experience in sales or customer service is a plus, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of communicating clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.

Minimum Requirements:

• University degree or student in a relevant field (Business, Commerce, Logistics, Foreign Trade, or similar).
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn transport operations.
• General knowledge of geography and commerce.
• Sales/customer service experience is advantageous, but not required.

Primary Objectives of the Position:

• Support the organization and execution of international transport services (sea, air).
• Assist clients with their transportation needs and service inquiries.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential customers and supporting the sales team.

Main Responsibilities
:

1. Transport Operations (with Training Provided):

2. Receive and process transport orders under supervision.

3. Assist in planning, organizing, and tracking shipments.
4. Help coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers.
5. Prepare and organize shipping and customs documents.
6. Learn and apply procedures related to import/export, air/sea/road transport.

7. Support in optimizing transport routes and costs.

8. Customer Support & Sales Assistance:

9. Provide assistance to existing customers with transport solutions.

10. Learn how to identify customer needs and prepare appropriate service offers.
11. Support sales efforts by researching and identifying potential clients.
12. Help maintain and update the customer database.

13. Participate in follow-ups and client communications to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

14. Internal Coordination:

15. Collaborate with all internal departments (Sales, Finance, Operations).

16. Maintain clear and professional communication across teams.

17. Ensure all documents and processes follow internal procedures and legal requirements.

18. Reporting & Documentation:

19. Support in compiling reports for weekly activity, shipment status, and customer engagement.

20. Maintain accurate records of communications, orders, and customer feedback

Functional & Representation Relations
:

• Work closely with all departments within A. HARTRODT ROMANIA.
• Represent the company in communications with current and potential clients.
• Participate in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
• Help identify new business opportunities and support commercial growth.

Work Conditions:

• Schedule: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, plus 1-hour lunch break (unpaid).
• Work type: Combination of independent tasks and teamwork.
• Reporting: as per the internal procedure to the Sea Freight Manager.
