One of the world's leading energy companies, ENGIE is present across the entire energy chain, in electricity and natural gas, from upstream to downstream. By placing responsible growth at the heart of its businesses (energy, energy services and the environment), its mission is to meet major challenges: meeting energy needs, ensuring security of supply, combating climate change, and optimizing the use of resources.
GBS is part of ENGIE, partnering with the support functions for the ENGIE's Business Units and Corporate. It currently has 7 Business Support functions: purchasing, consulting, finance, real estate and logistics, legal, human Resources, information systems. By 2025, GBS is ENGIE's "transition maker" for support function excellence. Amplifying ENGIE's net zero mission, we provide a competitive edge through efficient operations, strategic resource allocation, and pioneering in culture and technology.
The Finance Project Manager will lead and coordinate end-to-end finance transformation initiatives within the GBS environment. This role will ensure successful delivery of finance projects—such as process transitions, system implementations (e.g., ERP, S4HANA, reporting tools), standardization, and optimization of R2R, I2P, O2C, and Controlling processes.
The position requires strong project governance, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead complex streams without formal authority.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Program Management
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of finance-related projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, trackers, RAID logs, and communication plans.
- Ensure project governance, adherence to methodology, and timely status reporting to GBS and Global Finance leadership.
Coordinate multiple project streams simultaneously (process, technology, change, data migration, testing).
Finance Process Expertise
Work with Global Process Owners (GPOs), SMEs and local entities to understand the "as-is" processes and define the "to-be" model.
- Support standardization and harmonization initiatives across regions and business units.
- Ensure alignment with Group standards, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
- Transition & Deployment Activities
- Support knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and stabilization during transitions to GBS.
- Coordinate UAT planning, test execution follow-up, and defect resolution for finance systems.
Ensure implementation of new procedures, SOPs, and internal controls across teams.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the key interface between GBS, local finance teams, IT, and global transformation teams.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and alignment sessions with diverse stakeholders in multiple countries.
Escalate issues proactively and ensure decisions are made in a timely manner.
Change Management & Communication
Drive change management activities: impact assessment, communication plans, training coordination.
- Support adoption of new tools, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Promote a continuous improvement mindset within the Finance service lines.
- Performance & Reporting
- Track project KPIs, milestones, deliverables, and financial impact.
- Ensure documentation is complete, up to date, and aligned with audit and internal control requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory
5+ years of experience in Finance, Finance Transformation, or Shared Services/GBS environments.
- Proven experience in project management (end-to-end project lifecycle, PM methodologies).
- Solid understanding of R2R, I2P, or O2C processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills in multicultural environments.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
Preferred
Experience with SAP / S4HANA / ERP implementations.
- Experience in process standardization, transition, or continuous improvement projects.
- PMP, Prince2, Agile, or Lean certifications (or similar).
- French language is a plus but not mandatory.
Benefits:
- Private health insurance for you and your family;
- Opportunities for ongoing personal and professional development;
- Meal tickets;
