The Mission

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank's gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING's clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist epertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Within FM, in Competitive Pricing area, we have ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) asset, which consists of multiple components that enable real-time and batch calculations of financial risk metrics and simulations (e.g. VA,PFE, Value at Risk, Epected Shortfall, Bilateral Margining, pre-deal derivatives Pricing) which are driven by new banking regulations as well as advanced Risk analysis on the derivative product portfolio of Financial Markets (interest rates, credits, foreign echange). This asset is in the heart of the IT landscape for our global dealing rooms and risk managers in Asia, Europe and Americas, with apro. 30 scrum teams spread across 4 locations (Amsterdam, Brussels, Bucharest and Singapore), cooperating to evolve it towards target ING Financial Markets IT vision.

IPA Hedge Accounting component focuses on the management of Hedge Relationships (designation, dedesignation, Effectiveness, EOD reportings, ...) based on deals produced by Deal Capture systems (Mure and Summit) in order to provide to Back Office and Accounting the events and information required to ensure compliant hedge accounting lifecycle and entries. The trades, market and static data and valuations are consumed from specialized IPA data components, and together with the Engines results, a series of reports are computed.

As IT Business Analyst, you will work closely with business users and your squad, providing analysis and support for different technical and functional deliveries. Our team is driven by a customer perspective and fosters a diverse and contemporary workplace.

Your day to day

Even if you'll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office's garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. The following will be the main responsibilities of the role:

• You are the linking pin between the IPA HA's Business or IT stakeholders and the development team.
• You identify, analyze and specify business/ IT requirements and translate them into to-the-point user stories or functional specifications/design. You do this based upon requirements from Business, IT or Customer Journey eperts
• Clearly formulate and write product requirements, data requirements and user stories, including eplicit acceptance criteria for engineers to meet (test & validate)
• Enable the Product Owner to manage the work stream, its deliverables and the timelines and status updates.
• Define data quality rules and define ways to measures this with the team to proactively identify potential impact on our stakeholders
• Test whether developed software meets the requirements and help improving the automated (regression) test frameworks
• Support users with investigations on business flows and defects that they encounter during testing
• Present delivered stories to stakeholders during sprint reviews
• Facilitate knowledge sharing between squad members
• Continuously improve the delivery process by identifying inefficiencies and taking initiative to drive proposals for remediation
• Maintain functional and technical documentation up to date and easily available within the area

What you'll bring to the team

• Eperience:

• 5+ years as Business Analyst in Financial Markets and/or Treasury

• Skills / knowledge:

• Mandatory:

  • Eperience with financial markets products, trade data (instruments and product types)
  • Eperience with data query languages (SQL)
  • Eperience with data analysis tooling such as Ecel
  • Eperienced in Agile/Scrum way of working
  • In-depth eperience in refinement and translation of user requirements
  • Is innovative to be able to convert market developments and customer feedback in his/her field of epertise into vision and strategy for WB Tech & ING
  • Strong "business sense" combined with the ability to research new topics to develop insights and drive actionable results.
  • Strong analytical and literacy skills with attention to details
  • You are communicative, accurate and able to work with challenging deadlines
  • You are proactive and able to work in cross-border international teams
  • Affinity with IT and technology

  • Nice to have:

  • Previous eperience in Hedge Accounting

  • CBAP certification (Certified Business Analysis Professional)
  • Eperience with tooling for creating diagrams (MS Visio, )
  • Foreign languages: English (ecellent level)
  • Education: Completed education at Bachelor/Master level in Economics, Finance or Computer Science and the like
