Commercial Finance Analyst (Sales Analytics)
to provide strategic support to the European Sales Team, with a focus on the Air and Sea Freight segments.

This role has an international dimension, covering commercial performance analysis for European offices, and will work closely with the Director of Sales – Europe.

The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, commercially minded, and has a genuine interest in the freight forwarding market.

Role scope

The future Commercial Finance Analyst (Sales Analytics) will report directly to the Director of Sales – Europe and will be responsible for strategically supporting sales decisions at a European level for Gebrüder Weiss by providing visibility, analysis, and clear, data-driven insights.

• Collects, interprets, and analyzes sales data from internal systems (SAP, ESP, Power BI) for all European entities.
• Prepares periodic reports on commercial performance, margins, volumes, and KPI trends across segments (air & sea freight).
• Identifies trends, opportunities, and risks in sales performance (e.g., customer attrition, underperforming markets).
• Supports the Director of Sales – Europe in defining commercial strategy and making data-driven decisions.
• Actively collaborates with Sales & Business Development teams across 30+ offices, providing analytical support and recommendations.
• Updates and maintains interactive dashboards (Excel, Power BI) to ensure real-time visibility of sales results.
• Participates in projects aimed at optimizing commercial processes and contributes to improving reporting tools.
• Ensures alignment and data accuracy between commercial and financial departments.

Profile

• The successful candidate will have the following profile:
• University degree in Economics, Finance, or Statistics.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Sales Analyst, Business Analyst, or Commercial Finance Analyst role, preferably within logistics, transport, FMCG, or a shared service center.
• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Strong knowledge of Power BI, SAP, or other ERP systems – mandatory.
• Solid understanding of commercial performance indicators: revenue, margin, volume, yield, route/client profitability.
• Advanced level of English (both written and spoken).
• Excellent analytical and logical thinking skills, attention to detail, and proactive mindset.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, strong self-organization skills, and eagerness to learn.
